How are you handling birth control? Are you super emotional about everything? Are you happy one moment and the next thing you know you're planning murder on your boyfriend?
I'm 27 and I've been taking it for almost 2 years and it's made everything little thing into such a big deal. So what is a girl to do when she wants to stop taking birth control? Well, you can just stop taking birth control and either risk being psycho and suicidal or you may handle it perfectly well. If you think you'll need some professional assistance like I do, then join me in the journey of naturally balancing our hormones and maintaining sanity through acupuncture and herbs. I believe in acupuncture because I've tried it before ten years ago for anxiety and it helped me. It's costly but it's worth it because it's you. Only you know it's worth it. Everyone else thinks hormones is just PMS girl stuff but I know how you feel.
Today I had my consultation appointment with the acupuncturist. He completely understood me and didn't make me feel weird about sharing personal things, like the flow of my period, the reason for starting birth control and other embarrassing things. Hey, you have to be honest in order to get honest treatment.
You're probably wondering how much all this is going to cost. Ok, today's appointment was surprisingly expensive; it was $185. But every appointment thereafter (the acupuncture treatments) is $125 and each appointment is about an hour long. But you're laying there with the needles for only 30 minutes or less. Every acupuncturist has their own way of doing things so ask them what they're going to do and how much they charge. Your insurance may cover a measly $25 per treatment or may cover nothing at all.
Let me know what you're thinking about doing and or what you have tried already!
